The Wonderland Hill community is adjacent to a very special Boulder recreation institution – Wonderland Lake Park. The area features Wonderland Lake which is a great place to fish with kids, and you’ll find ducks and geese migrating here most of the year. A park area with playground, and access to miles of trails, many wheelchair accessible, add to the recreational opportunities. Foothills Community Park, north of Wonderland Lake, is one of Boulder’s larger parks with playgrounds, shelters, basketball area, lots of grass to play soccer and games, and even a dog park, all with the Boulder foothills as it’s spectacular backdrop. North Boulder Recreation Center is also close by, about a mile south on Broadway.
